No. Your ECU is VIN-flashed on the bench with the latest authorized calibration before it ships. Plug it in and start the truck. In rare cases where a security relearn is required, we'll provide simple instructions.
Match the full OEM part number on your original ECU to the part number listed on the product page, including the letter suffix (AA, AB, AC, etc.). If they match, fitment is guaranteed.
Close is not good enough for ECUs. The numbers and letter suffix have to match exactly. Use the search by part number tool above or contact us before ordering and we'll confirm the right unit for your vehicle.
Professionally remanufactured OEM hardware, updated with the latest authorized software, VIN-flashed, and bench-tested on a simulator. If a unit doesn't pass, it doesn't ship.
Orders with a confirmed VIN placed before 4 PM ET ship the same business day. Free UPS 2nd Day Air on every order. UPS Next Day Air is available at checkout for $40 flat.
Your 5-year coverage activates when you return your old core in the prepaid box within 30 days of delivery. No forms or registration, your order number is your warranty record. If your unit fails within 5 years, contact us with your order number and a certified mechanic's diagnosis, and approved claims ship a replacement in 1 to 2 business days. If for some reason you can't return your core, contact us and we'll work with you.
No core charge and no deposit at checkout. You pay for the part, you get the part, with no money held. We do need your old core back though, since returning it within 30 days is what activates your 5-year warranty, and we recycle the old units. The prepaid return box is included.
Contact our support team first so we can help verify wiring, grounds, and diagnostics. If the ECU isn't the fix, you have 60 days to return it. No restocking fees, free return shipping.
